TRUMAN

TRUMAN is a furniture leather produced on selected european hides, where quality of grain is carefully evaluated. The hides are processed with a traditional beamhouse process of liming and tanning, with long time in wooden drum to ensure a better quality of the grain. TRUMAN is processed as NUBUCK drum dyed aniline leather, it is snuffed to reach nubuck stage than a strong film with resins and waxes is applied to be than hand sanded by skilled craftsmen to give a “worn out” look . The hides are retanned with a combination of synthan and waxes, than vacuum dried to give a firm hand and a grainy surface, combined than with a special retanning process which enhances the natural beauty of this semi aniline leather. Growth marks, healed scars and all natural factors that have influenced the hide are part of the look of the finished leather. Color variation within the hide or from hide to hide are part of the natural soul of this item. TRUMAN is a leather studied to combine the wild look of a high end distressed leather with fashion and bright colors to be used for all kind of furniture.
